"What an absolute pleasure it was to have the exceptionally talented Matthew play at our candlelit wedding breakfast. Matthew had an incredible repertoire which included the likes of Einaudi(a musician that is very close to our hearts) all the way up to the more modern pop songs like Coldplay and Pharrell- he played every piece so beautifully and his music complimented all the twinkly candles and enhanced the magic of the day by a mile. As well as being an incredibly talented pianist, Matthew was also a thoroughly lovely man who was always so warm (and prompt!) in his communications- if I could give him 10 stars I would! My venue doesn't have a piano - what should I do?
Most pianists will have a keyboard and speakers that they can bring to your event - some may even be able to provide a piano shell to mimic the look of a piano (however this will likely cost extra). Nowadays keyboards can sound just as good as the real thing, so don't let not having a piano stop you!
What kind of music can a pianist play?
Most professional pianists will be extremely competent in a wide range of styles/genres. It's basically up to you what you'd like them to play. Give them an idea of the types of music/songs you'd like to hear, and they'll put together a set of music you'll be sure to love!
