About Jamie

Captivating piano performances for weddings, events, and special moments across Scotland.
Pianist
Edinburgh
Public liability insurance of £10 million

Since graduating with a BA (Hons) in Music Performance from Perth UHI in 2014, I’ve been performing as a solo pianist and accompanist. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed residencies at venues like The Strathearn Restaurant at Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder, The Caledonian (A Waldorf Astoria Hotel) in Edinburgh, 18 Restaurant at Rusacks Hotel in St Andrews, and The Bothy Restaurant in Perth. I love creating special moments through music and especially enjoy helping couples choose the perfect pieces for their wedding ceremonies, making their big day even more memorable.

We had Jamie for our wedding at Springkell, he was communicative, played the songs we wanted, and really made our whole night magical. He went above and beyond for us and made our night even more magical. Jamie worked with us from the beginning to make sure we had a stress free night, if you are looking for a professional, timely, and responsive pianist for your wedding or event, I HIGHLY recommend Jamie!

Jamie played at our formal event in a grand Scottish castle to celebrate an 80th birthday. His playing was excellent and greatly appreciated by all. He covered many genres and happy accepted requests. I would highly recommend.

We initially hired Jamie in November 2022 recommended by a mutual acquaintance. This was for a special birthday for my wife Catherine. I had wanted to sing a special song “Kathleen” with changed lyrics for my wife and Jamie, learned the tune and sent me an audio file of him playing it for me to rehearse to. It was a big success Two years later we hired him again for my special birthday and were extremely happy to get him given the great job he had done previously. Our 5 and 10 year old grandkids were there and Jamie patiently and kindly played piano for them and coached them on the piano (a baby grand provided with the lodge hire). Once again we did “Kathleen”. It was wonderful Jamie took requests and also played chilled out but accomplished jazz/cocktail bar tunes which set up a lovely atmosphere in the room. Personality wise he is quiet and polite and mannerly. Technically he is very accomplished and “reads the room” very well. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again

Beautiful piano playing. It was joyful to have Jamie play at our daughter’s wedding at Broxmouth Courtyard. Jamie has such a wide repertoire he was able to play my daughter’s favourite Alicia Keys song as we walked in and then other pieces at relevant moments during the ceremony. The afternoon reception was also accompanied by a two hour virtuoso performance of works ranging from Van Morrison to Chopin. Something for everyone to enjoy as our guests mingled and made many new friendships. Truly the perfect accompaniment to any wedding. Thanks Jamie!
