What is corporate entertainment?
Corporate entertainment includes any type of performance put on by a corporate entertainer. Live singers, bands, DJs and musicians are popular choices for corporate events.
People often use the phrase corporate hospitality, where companies entertain guests and clients at these corporate events. "Corporate event planners" are the individuals known for planning corporate events. "Corporate entertainment agencies", such as Encore, provide companies with corporate entertainment.
How much does it cost to book corporate entertainment?
Corporate entertainment prices start at £300 per musician. The price varies according to the type of act booked, the length of the performance, and how bespoke the performance is.
Corporate DJ prices start from £600. If the DJ is in high demand, they can cost £2,000 or even £3,000. Famous DJs cost upwards of £10,000. A band performing at a corporate event can cost anywhere from £1,000 (for 3 members) to £20,000 for big showbands.
What are some popular corporate entertainment ideas?
Instrumental jazz or classical music is popular for civilised drinks receptions and corporate dinners. This could be from a soloist, such as a pianist or guitarist, or could involve a duo, trio or small band. After dinner entertainment is a great way to get your guests dancing and enjoying themselves. Party bands, DJs and showbands (large bands with 10-20 members) are popular for after dinner entertainment.
Should I book a DJ or a band for my corporate party?
The answer to this question usually comes down to cost, and space. A DJ is significantly more affordable than a band, and can fit into a smaller space. A DJ is also more flexible, and can take requests from guests and clients.
However, a live band are a lot more dynamic and memorable than a DJ. A band performance is more of a spectacle. If you have enough budget for a live band, we always recommend hiring a band to give your guests a party they will remember for a long time.
