Piano Hedgehog explores the full range of human emotions through sublime piano music. Booking a superb live pianist is the perfect way to add a touch of class to any party, wedding or special occasion! How many of us can truly say that we absolutely love our jobs? My "work" is also my passion. Without music, the world is a baron place, empty and devoid of emotion and expression. I feel blessed and honoured that my music helps many people to connect with emotion at a deep and enriching level. People frequently comment about the calming and soothing nature of my performance style. As a classically-trained pianist, I now specialise in pop/rock covers, but always with a definite "classical twist" - I've never lost touch with my roots! My training followed the classical route, working my way through the 8 ABRSM grades, and to diploma level and beyond. In this day and age, it is not enough to be skilled in what you do. I recognise that my clients (quite rightly) expect the best possible service from me. This extends far beyond being an exceptional musician. They want me to be professional in every aspect of their dealings with me. I pride myself in my superb communication throughout the booking process right up to the performance, and beyond. I go to great lengths to ensure that the client's peace of mind always comes first. Booking a musician for an event as important as a wedding is, after all, quite stressful. I aim to make the process as smooth as possible, and this is aided by my open and friendly approach with clients. There truly is no such thing as a silly question! Unlike many other pianists, I do not restrict my clients' choice to having to choose from a prescribed list of songs. Instead, I welcome those occasions where a client asks for something I don't currently play! I see it as an opportunity for me personally to explore new songs, and to create a piano arrangement of a new piece of repertoire. And I will always advise on how likely a song is going to be to succeed as a piano track (not every song will work, or sound convincing on the piano, and it's always worth being aware of this and honest about it). My recording and teaching work allows me to express my musicality through different outlets. Many people buy my recordings because they have had such an overwhelmingly beautiful and satisfying experience when hearing me play live. And many others come to me requesting lessons, again, because they've heard what I do live and want to begin their own journey of music-making. Thank you for taking the time to read about my music.
