Versatile jazz and pop pianist, currently working as a soloist, accompanist and as a regular member of the Surco Trio, a classic jazz outfit of piano, double bass and drums, performing regularly around the South Midlands and Cotteswolds, playing a wide variety of jazz standards, Latin, Soul and contemporary compositions, to suit all audiences. Robin has worked with numerous groups over the years including one of the Midlands finest soul and Motown tribute bands, Soul Trader. He also plays trumpet, and performs with the Malvern Big Band.

I can wholly recommend the Surco Trio who played at our Birthday event. They kept us entertained all evening with superb swinging jazz, which was perfect for the occasion - never too intrusive or overly loud, so that guests could still talk. I would have no reservation in booking them again!

I booked the Surco Trio for an event and was delighted with the performance; a high level of musicianship coupled with a friendly and enthusiastic approach made the event very easy to manage. The group were prompt to arrive as agreed and ‘ticked all the boxes’ in terms of my requirements, whilst presenting their own style of music making. If you want live music that is easy to listen to and entertaining presented by people that are easy to communicate with, then I can recommend the Surco Trio. Mike Halliday,
