About Heywood & Moore

Verified profile
The new classic country music of Heywood & Moore combines the story telling of traditional country music with the power of roots rock music.

Heywood & Moore perform a mix of upbeat classic and original country. Now based in Australia they tour the UK every summer to bring their accessible sound to the 'old country. The music is an amalgam of old and new and revolves around their tight harmonies, raunchy electric guitar and a solid rhythm section to give a sound that will get your foot tapping and propel you onto the dance floor. The band have just released their first CD release featuring musicians such as the pedal steel guitarist BJ Cole (Sting, Elton John, T-Rex, R.E.M., The Verve and Hank Wangford), Hugh Macdonald (Red Gum), fiddler Tom Kitching and banjo-ista Guy Rodgers. Misfit (, 4 years ago

The burnished countrified chartpop of Heywood Moore even sounds as if it could make a killing in the American Bible Belt (sweeping out of the same CCM radio playlists as the likes of Lexi Elisha...)

jaunty, airy, catchy.
