"Maxine played during our wedding ceremony and reception back in June. On such as hot day she played exceptionally well and all our guests were so complimentary of the music, it was so romantic and was such a good fit for our wedding venue! Maxine was so lovely, very punctual and good communication prior to the wedding, we had a call to discuss arrival times, seating availability, plans for if it's a hot/wet day, the songs to be played and when etc which put our minds at ease knowing Maxine knew exactly what we were envisioning and she executed the day amazingly, exceeding our expectations! A harpist is a beautiful addition to your wedding and we couldn't recommend Maxine more highly enough! Thank you again "

What kind of music will a harpist perform?
Harpists usually play music from a large classical-style repertoire. However, many harpists will be able to play a selection of pop music as well. Make sure to let them know ahead of time what kind of music you'd like them to play and they'll be more than happy to accomodate you!
How much space will the harpist need to perform? Do I need to provide anything?
Harpists need an area of about 2m x 3m to perform in. You will also need to be provide adequate cover for them, to protect from the sun/rain - the surface should also be flat, firm, and dry. Grass is usually a no-no, so if they are to perform on grass, make sure a solid mat is handy. Wet harp = sad harpist.
I want a harpist to perform at my wedding: which parts of the wedding should they play?
Most commonly, harpists will perform during the following parts of the ceremony: seating of the guests, entrance of the bride, signing of the registry, and the walk-out. If you want the harpist to provide music for the reception, make sure you tell them well in advance if it's at a different venue - moving a harp at short notice ain't easy!
