Lucinda is a versatile harpist looking for work in the Yorkshire region
Lucinda started playing the harp at the age of 7 at Ripon Cathedral Choir School under the guidance of Georgina Goodier (Wells). She has just recently graduated from the University of Hull reading Music where she achieved the Harp Scholarship and studies with Rachel Dent. Lucinda has been on 2 harp residential courses with other international students and studying under the teaching of the world-renowned harpist, Catrin Finch, and her teacher, Elinor Bennett, in Wales. She has also played with many orchestras including the Royal Northern Sinfonia, North Yorkshire County Orchestra, St Cecilia, School orchestras and more recently in the Hull Philharmonic. She has also been on BBC Radio Humberside promoting an event that was happening in Holy Trinity Church. She began playing the organ after being awarded a Choral Scholarship at Harrogate Ladies’ College that allowed her to take organ lessons. Now she has organ lessons at Beverly Minster with the Director of Music there, Robert Poyser having gained a bursary from the university. Being a choral Scholar meant she also sang in the school’s chapel choir and sang live on a BBC Radio 3 broadcast. She was also a member of the Ripon Cathedral Girls Choir and then a founding member of the Cathedral Consort. Lucinda plays for many different functions such as weddings and other celebratory events and dinners.
