Being trained in harp and piano from the age of 6 and then later discovering her love of singing jazz and soul, Ada brings together the traditional wedding instrument of the harp and combines it with her soulful voice to create a truly unique live music experience for your wedding. Ada played recently at a family birthday party and her set was absolutely perfect. Her repertoire was combination of traditional, popular and requested material, all of which was delivered beautifully. She was punctual and brilliant at communicating throughout the booking process, making her set perfectly catered for our event, it felt like she really cared about delivering a personal service. What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I have played multiple times at Edinburgh Castle for various different functions as well as provided music for private members clubs such as the Royal Scots Club and large fashion department store Selfridges.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always plan to be as flexible as possible so that your event runs smoothly. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually aim to set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. If I am playing for your ceremony, I will play as your guests enter the ceremony room around 15 minutes before the ceremony start time.

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

Yes absolutely, I transport the harp by car. I play the celtic harp so it is much easier to be transported than the larger pedal harps.

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

I will provide everything needed for indoor and outdoor events. For outdoor events specifically I have a wireless amp so that I can set up anywhere without needing power nearby. If it's raining I will need full cover or to perform indoors as my instrument is valuable and could be damaged.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

You can pick anything from my setlist and you can choose up to 3 songs not on my setlist for your ceremony, drinks reception or wedding breakfast. Alternatively if you find choosing songs overwhelming I can give you options that I think would work well.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Of course, you can request up to 3 songs not included on my setlist for your ceremony, drinks reception or wedding breakfast. Please keep in mind that not every piece if able to be played on the harp, a good way of checking is to find a video of a harpist playing it on youtube, or just ask if you're not sure.
