"Pippa was an absolute dream - she arrived at our wedding ceremony location before we even got there and from that moment on she helped to make our ceremony more special than we even hoped for! Her performance was delightful and really elevated the atmosphere on a windy day at Loch Lomond - more than that, she was lovely to speak to and massively friendly which helped to put us all at ease on a busy morning. Cannot recommend enough - thanks so much Pippa!"
Helen hired Pippa Reid-Foster for a Wedding (available in Stirling)

"As Arts Coordinator at Carlisle Youth Zone I booked Sarah as part of a project to introduce young people to different types of music. She played the harp beautifully and engaged with the children really well. She was adaptable and friendly. Understanding the needs of the audience she turned the session into a ‘have a go’ experience which was brilliant. She was very generous with her time, staying longer than her booking to allow all the children to take part. I’m impressed and would be delighted to book her again."

What kind of music will a harpist perform?
Harpists usually play music from a large classical-style repertoire. However, many harpists will be able to play a selection of pop music as well. Make sure to let them know ahead of time what kind of music you'd like them to play and they'll be more than happy to accomodate you!
How much space will the harpist need to perform? Do I need to provide anything?
Harpists need an area of about 2m x 3m to perform in. You will also need to be provide adequate cover for them, to protect from the sun/rain - the surface should also be flat, firm, and dry. Grass is usually a no-no, so if they are to perform on grass, make sure a solid mat is handy. Wet harp = sad harpist.
I want a harpist to perform at my wedding: which parts of the wedding should they play?
Most commonly, harpists will perform during the following parts of the ceremony: seating of the guests, entrance of the bride, signing of the registry, and the walk-out. If you want the harpist to provide music for the reception, make sure you tell them well in advance if it's at a different venue - moving a harp at short notice ain't easy!
