Graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a Bachelors in Voice and Harp, Isla is a versitile performer who is guaranteed to bring magic to your event. Having honed the rare skill of singing at the harp, Isla offers something completely unique that sets her apart from other performers. Isla can provide solo harp (classical, folk or improvised) or she can perform charming arrangements of folk and classical songs for harp and voice. The harp is a beautiful instrument that effortlessly enhances any atmosphere. You have the option of a golden concert harp, or a beautiful clarsach. Being a smaller sound, the clarsach can come with amplification if needed. Either harp can suit a variety of settings - weddings, dinners, recitals, bars, churches, concert halls and arenas. Aside from her events work, Isla's experience has spanned from opera (with Scottish Opera Young Company), orchestral harp (alongside artists such as Guy Garvey at the Royal Glasgow Concert Hall), choral singing (in arenas alongside Ariana Grande and in classical concert halls) and multiple television appearances on ITV and BBC. With experience performing to audiences of 1 to 50,000... no event is too big or small! You can rest assured that Isla is fast to reply to enquiries and takes pride in being organised and punctual.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The harp always captures peoples attention. It's visually very beautiful and has a truly enchanting sound. I'm always very touched to see how moved clients are to hear the combination of voice and harp, it really has a wonderful effect on people!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

As a singer: I performed in a choir at the One Love Manchester memorial concert with Ariana Grande at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground. It was a live audience of 50,000 people, and 14.5 million television viewers. As a harpist: I played a televised Celtic Connections gig in a symphony orchestra for rock and pop songs at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Let me know of any changes and I will aim to be as flexible as possible. If requesting significant last minute changes that I can't accomodate, I always do my best to find a high quality replacement for you.

How much time do you need to set up?

I require a minimum of 30 minutes set up time, however I would prefer a full hour before the start of the performance if possible.

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

Transportation is included, except for if you have selected the add-on of the golden harp. Just get in touch and I'll provide a quote for you!

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

I will require some form of shelter when playing outdoors. My instrument is very valuable so it's essential that I protect it from any sun/rain damage.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

It's important that you're happy with what I play, so I'd be more than happy to discuss the set list with you! As well as playing from this collection, I can improvise on the harp to match the ambience of your event, whether that be to create a calming, elegant or uplifting feel.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes of course, I am happy to accomodate requests! To take into account the arranging and rehearsing time this comes with an additional charge.
