"I had the absolute pleasure of having Hot Swing Boheme play at my 50th birthday party at the weekend. They were absolutely awesome! Two incredible guitarists, one fantastic double bass player and to top it all off a sensational singer. I could not have asked for more. I love swing/jazz music and these guys deliver big time. They will have you tapping your feet and then dancing before you know it. Stylish, beautiful and just perfect. The musicianship is absolutely flawless and they even learnt a song just for my birthday. I want to do it all again and if I did these guys would be top of my list again. Professional vintage jazz bands will often take requests, but you will need to give them plenty of notice. Please also keep in mind that vintage jazz bands may ask for an small additional fee to prepare songs that aren't already on their song list. How much time do vintage jazz bands take to set up?
Your vintage jazz band will usually arrive about an hour or so before their performance begins to set up and get settled before they start playing. To avoid any delays, make sure the performance space is ready for the vintage jazz band prior to their arrival.
My venue has asked for the performer’s PLI & PAT inspection certificates. What are these?
PLI stands for Public Liability Insurance. This insurance covers damage to another person or their property (it is also known as third party insurance). As many of our vintage jazz bands are members of the Musician's Union, they are already covered by PLI up to ÂŁ10 million. PAT stands for portable appliance testing. Most of our vintage jazz bands will already have a PAT inspection certificate for their musical equipment/PA system, which they can provide to your venue if they need it.
