Full Trunk Trio

After over a decade playing in numerous combinations, the Full Trunk Trio have always preferred to keep it small. Pursuing their own projects as individuals, this is the one group they keep coming back to. Playing together is a joy which is best shared with as many people as possible. Lean and mean, together they create a versatile sound that takes in the entire breadth of popular music new and old. Centred at straight-ahead Jazz, their repertoire branches off in all directions playing a mix of sounds that is both universal and eclectic. Expect old songs played in fresh ways, and new sounds taken back to school. Pianist Alex Crossley maintains both bass-lines with his left hand, as well as grooves/melodies with his right. This creates a sound, with just three instruments, that sounds as big as a band twice it's size. Having played hundreds of gigs together in Britain and overseas; whatever the function, they've played it. Socials, parties, weddings and funerals; their collective experience has them at home in any environment.
