London
Public liability insurance of £10 million
A jaw dropping live immersive party experience guaranteed to have you dancing all night!

Natty Congeroo and the Flames of Rhythm have worked hard to become one of the leading Swing bands in Europe and regularly performs for major international festivals, prestigious vintage events and swing dances. Past performances include headline slots at Secret Garden Party, Wilderness Festival, Boomtown, Twinwood Festival, Parma Swing Festival in Italy, Hep Cats Holiday and 'Is There Hop' Fesival in Zurich, as well as large-scale private events for ‘Lush’ cosmetics in Amsterdam, White Mink in Italy, the Royal Northern College of Music’s Summer Ball, Raindance Film Festival and the opening of the St. Regis hotel in Mumbai. The band recently closed New Years Eve in style as the main act in the Clore Ballroom as part of the lavish Hemingway Vintage Festival that took over the famous Southbank Centre. The Flames have earned a reputation as a top festival/party Swing band for their high-energy performances and immersive crowd experiences. The repertoire of the band is a combination of tight original numbers and explosive interpretations of classic Hot Jazz, Swing, Rhythm ’n’ Blues and Gospel numbers from the golden era of this music in the 1920’s-50’s. As well as a reputation for a hot authentic sound the band is well known for its unique sense of style and presentation with its members dressed to the nines in sharp and eccentric tailored vintage attire. The band is led by the legendary showman Natty Congeroo; a popular, stylish and flamboyant Singer/ Dancer/DJ and all round Hep Cat who has been performing at the top of his game for many years. The instrumentalists provide unrivalled levels of excitement and astonishing musical skill that is an explosive mix once the show gets started. If the band look as if we’re having a great time on stage (and diving into the audience!) that’s because we are! We look forward to seeing you soon.

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Always! Natty is the centrepiece of the band and the show we will not confirm a booking until we have confirmed his availability.

Do you have different line-up options?

We mostly go out as a six piece band. We can go out as a seven piece with an extra horn (either baritone sax or trombone). We also offer smaller lineups for a more cocktail sound with piano which we have used for receptions and background functions.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we do, we can plug an iPad in to our PA system and play tunes. Our frontman Natty is also a professional DJ with weekly residencies all over London and is a specialist in DJ'ing 78rpm records. His services can be negotiated for a fee as part of the band package.

How much time do you need to set up?

We will need an hour to set up PA system and soundcheck.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If we do not know a song we can take requests but there is a fee involved to do this to account for rehearsal time and costs.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We love to get the audience going and always get them singing, clapping and dancing. We'll jump in the audience several times throughout the night and get dance circles going and make sure that the audience feels like a part of the performance.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Southbank Centre-London, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness Festival, Boomtown Fair, Twinwood Festival, The St.Regis Hotel-Mumbai, Cafe Amsterdam-Bahrain, Luxury Lifestyle Weekender-Mumbai, Raindance Film Festival-Cafe De Paris-London, Royal Northern College of Music

The 'Luxury Lifestyle Weekender-Mumbai' gig was a collaborative show with famous Indian models walking on a cat walk whilst we performed with GQ magazine documenting the whole performance.

We are could not be more delighted we booked the band, and we would extremely highly recommend this very talented group of musicians! The beautiful live jazz music brought such warmth and life to our wedding reception atmosphere. They played music from the Great American Songbook, which was absolutely perfect for our wedding vibes and venue (a Brewery). Their performance was wonderful, very professional, and a joy to watch - our family and friends were very impressed! Evan from the band was very communicative and responsive leading up to the wedding, and put us at ease during the planning process. Thank you so much for playing at our wedding, we will forever remember it x
