"Alex has been amazing throughout the entire process - from our initial video call, the string of personal requests made, Alex put together a 25 minute preview video where he brought our requests to life With our d and d wedding theme on the day he arrived in great time, had no issue relocating between 2 rooms that we had set up andour guest's loved his playing during our drinks reception His playing for our ceremony was exactly how we envisioned it and he knew some of our more geeky and niche requests which only affirmed to us that we had chosen the perfect musician to bring our vision and tavern to life!"

FAQs about hiring Composers in Cornwall
Take the stress out of hiring musicians with Encore
Can any composer play my favourite song?
Professional composers will often take requests, but you will need to give them plenty of notice. Please also keep in mind that composers may ask for an small additional fee to prepare songs that aren't already on their song list. You can view the composer's song list on their Encore profile.
How much time do composers take to set up?
Your composer will usually arrive about an hour or so before their performance begins to set up and get settled before they start playing. To avoid any delays, make sure the performance space is ready for the composer prior to their arrival.
My venue has asked for the performer’s PLI & PAT inspection certificates. What are these?
PLI stands for Public Liability Insurance. This insurance covers damage to another person or their property (it is also known as third party insurance). As many of our composers are members of the Musician's Union, they are already covered by PLI up to £10 million. PAT stands for portable appliance testing. Most of our composers will already have a PAT inspection certificate for their musical equipment/PA system, which they can provide to your venue if they need it.
