I have been composing for over 20 years, working on bespoke projects encompassing many styles since 2015. I hold a BA (hons) degree in Creative Music & Technology from Brunel University. I love bringing music to theatrical and screen productions, and the challenge of channelling the emotion and energy of a piece. I am well-versed in interpreting the ideas of collaborators, whether they have a background in music or not. Clients include Quirk Theatre, Moth Physical Theatre, Ovalhouse/Brixton House, Ambreen Razia, A&E Comedy, Simon Mole, Sophie Ross, Filskit Theatre, Katherine O'Reilly, Raymond Antrobus. I perform solo on guitar, keys and voice, specialising in bespoke guitar arrangements and original material. I also perform and write with a drummer as Jonny Falls Over, and with my electronic band Concrete Disco. I have performed at venues and festivals across the UK and Europe, including Glastonbury, Glade, Secret Garden Party, O2 London, Camden Roundhouse, Garage Islington, Borderline.

Jonny has been working with us on a series of acoustic gigs for parents and their babies. He is an extremely talented musician whose set lists are always a hit with our audience who love his mix of original songs and well known covers. Each week, Jonny effortlessly creates a relaxing, chilled out gig with high quality vocals, piano and guitar. Adults and children both love coming along to listen to him play.

Jonny is an absolute joy to work with. Intuitive, creative, and bafflingly skilled in both live and digital music production. He is a quick and self-starting worker, and seems to have a way of translating even the vaguest or nonsensical briefs to something structured and beautiful. With an empathetic tone and a style appropriate to the project, he adds soul, interest and dynamic range into his arrangements; solo or collaborative. Not only do Jonny’s results speak volumes about his talent and work ethic, but he is also full of humour, fully engaged and invested with his teams and projects, and is consistently supportive and communicative. I personally can’t wait to work with Jonny again. He’s a bloody dream boat, multi-skilled instrumentalist, and tech wizard.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I'll do my best to work around minor timing changes, just let me know as soon as you can.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, that's no problem. If you have specific songs you'd like on the playlist let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

For a solo or duo performance we usually set up at least an hour ahead of performance time. For composing, I can bring my mobile studio setup and can be ready to work in around 15 minutes.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I'll bring all instruments, amplification, PA, and studio equipment as required.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If there are specific songs I don't already know you can request them. There is a fee of £30 per song to cover arrangement and rehearsal.
