"Mary played at my father in laws 80th birthday hosted at my house! She was brilliant beforehand staying in touch about what we required. On the night she was so warm and flexible to fit with the guest requests and the tone of the evening. She played beautifully from a poignant highland ballad to strip the willow and auld lang syne! It really made the nigh and got all the guests on their feet and enjoying themselves! Thanks so much again Mary "
Alexis hired Mary Gristwood for a Private event (available in Lanarkshire)

"Fiona played at our wedding on the 10th November and I couldn’t recommend her enough. She was prompt and professional throughout. She plays beautifully especially our requests for entrance, signing and exit. Given how busy weddings can be, I felt really guilty couldn’t spend more time with Fiona but again, a consumate professional who after the wedding packed up and re set up in another room in time for canapés. Really made that afternoon special for our guests. 100% recommend. Thank you Fiona. "

FAQs about hiring Wedding Violinists in Lanarkshire
Take the stress out of hiring musicians with Encore
What kind of music can a violinist play?
Pretty much anything! Violinists will usually be most comfortable playing classical music, but that doesn't mean they won't be able whip up fresh renditions of your favourite pop, folk, or jazz tunes. Best to check first before asking them to play krautrock though.
Will I need to provide the violinist with any equipment?
Other than a seat for breaks, probably not. If your venue is small, they will likely play unamplified. All they'll need to make the music happen is their violin, a bow, and a receptive audience (oh, and probably a music stand). If your venue is larger, they should be able to provide amplification.
Do violinists normally play with backing tracks?
It depends. If you only want the violinist’s performance to include classical pieces, they probably won’t need backing tracks. If the violinist’s performance includes pop songs or other styles, they may be able to provide backing tracks to fill out their performance. They’ll often perform the melody line of popular tunes, alongside pre-prepared backing tracks (think: ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran, or ‘Skyfall’ by Adele - these songs sound great played on violin!).
