Verified profile

Robbie is an accomplished and versatile violinist and fiddler from the Highlands, currently living in Glasgow. I started playing violin and piano at the age of 6 surrounded by a musical family. I continued to play and develop both instruments through school before studying traditional fiddle at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. I graduated in 2017 with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Music degree. I love playing for events and weddings and being able to provide music to such a special day. I strive to make the music a memorable part of your day and am delighted to learn any music which has special meaning to you.

Robbie was absolutely fantastic all the guests enjoyed his music during the drinks reception at our wedding. He even learned a couple of requests for us at very short notice. We would recommend Robbie to anyone looking for a violinist. Thanks again Robbie!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If your timings change, there's no problem. Where I can, I will accommodate at no extra cost, provided the timings remain the same length. If there is a change to the length of playing time, there would be an additional charge for this.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

During my set times, my equipment is available for you to use for a DJ service if you should wish. I will play background music during any breaks that I take as well.

How much time do you need to set up?

I need approximately 30 minutes to set up my PA equipment and soundcheck.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I am happy for you to have as much input into the set list for your event. I am also happy to discuss any additions to my set list.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Everything I need to perform is provided by myself, I just require a power socket near to where I will be setting up.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am happy to learn any music requests before the event. There may be an additional charge for this depending on the piece.
