Wedding Ceilidh Bands for hire in Leicestershire
Latest reviews of our Wedding Ceilidh Bands in Leicestershire

"If you are planning a ceilidh in the Midlands, particularly for a wedding, Schuggie is the first person you want to call. From our very first enquiry, he went above and beyond to ensure that we had the ceilidh and wedding reception we wanted. Schuggie regularly touched base in the months running up to the wedding, helping us plan our playlists and our first dance, whilst also providing us with really useful resources - his 'cheat sheet' probably prevented a dozen different disasters alone! With only a handful of Scots and few guests in attendance who had previously been to a ceilidh, I was a bit worried we would be faced with an empty dance floor for much of the night. However, Shuggie, aided by the fantastic Big Moose Ceilidh Band, had every person who was able on their feet and dancing for hours! Schuggie's calling style was fun and enaging, clearly explaining the steps to novices, whilst variations on popular dances kept even those of us who grew up in Scotland on our toes! This, along with his emceeing from our arrival until the very last song of the night, his gaelic blessing during our somewhat impromptu quaich ceremony, and efforts to resolve any issues which arrose with vendors ensured that our reception will be remembered for all the right reasons for many years to come! Once again, many thanks Schuggie. Slàinte Mhath!"

"We had a great night thanks to Willie and his band! They were so lovely the entire night and adjusted to our timings throughout all the speeches and raffles we held! They were extremely professional and turned up early, ready to go and helped out perfectly calling all the dances, despite one of the members being in hopsiptal the previous day. She was incredible coming in and still performing! Thanks to this band, our night was super successful and our guests greatly enjoyed the ceilidh!!"

"Chimera were absolutely amazing! Would highly recommend. I booked Chimera for my 40th birthday party. Annie was an amazing caller coordinating us all, most of my guests hadn’t done a ceilidh before but everyone was able to join in with Annie’s excellent guidance. Chimera fantastic musicians and were high energy creating a fun environment. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Would definitely book them for any future ceilidhs. Thanks so much to everyone in the band for making my birthday such a fab event. "
