Fairgeeen Ceilidh Band were fantastic, really easy to get in touch with and chat about the set up before the wedding. On the night they put on an awesome show and had everyone involved in our barn dance. Our guests had a great time. Would highly recommend them!!

Epic band - brought the vibes, great choices of dances, everyone - including us of course - loved them. They really set the scene for the rest of the day… We were laughing our heads off whilst getting many of the moves wrong haha. The guests also loved the chance to show off their moves in the middle of the circle. Thank you so much for getting the party started - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chris and the band for any event. 10/10 thank you!

Booking Fairgreen Ceilidh band was the best decision we could have made for our wedding!! They played amazingly, were so inviting to new ceilidh players and very adaptable when timings moved. Thank you so so much. If you are on the fence about a ceilidh band for an event I cannot recommend Fairgreen enough!

Wonderful ceilidh band who really made our wedding dance special! As well as the ceilidh, Chris and the band played our first dance music, and we were able to arrange to use their amps for our wedding disco. Highly recommended!

This is a brilliant band to book if you’re looking for a fun ceilidh! We a fancy dress ceilidh the day after our wedding at Voewood. The guys were so lovely and everyone, including total beginners, had a really fun time.

Fairgreen Ceilidh were fantastic at our wedding recently! Communication was great beforehand and they were helpful with information about what they'd need to set up and their timings. What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love the fact that all their guests, especially the ones who've never been to a ceilidh, had such a fun time.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Many historic buildings - brilliant for ceilidhs.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Dave Swarbrick, Albion band, Altan, De Dannan, Dubliners, Sharon Shannon, Feast of Fiddlers, Eliza Carthy, Fairport Convention, The Committee Band

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Battersea Arts Centre.

Can you perform covers?

Covers we've performed at request include Harry Potter theme, Annie's Song (John Denver). Travelling Wilbury's songs. We'll consider any request - success will depend on familiarity, time and degree of complexity!

Do you have different line-up options?

Ceilidh with 3 or 4 musicians - all include a caller. caller/guitar/mandolin, fiddle, bass guitar, drums (the 4 piece)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We're flexible and are open to discuss changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we can play your playlist through our quality PA from a device between sets. The PA is also available for hire after the set for a disco until midnight using your own playlist. For that we would bring the more bassy PA with the 15inch speakers for an additional £125. Our lighting, such as it is, also included.

How much time do you need to set up?

60 for the duo or trio and 90 minutes with the drummer.

Do you provide a caller?

The experienced caller has done hundreds of gigs and is a musician in the band so you get 2, 3 or 4 musicians and an inclusive caller.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We're happy to include particular dances, for example Strip the Willow. Most people are very happy with our selection of dances - although we have a basic set in mind we tailor this to the needs of the dancers on the night so the event flows nicely, everyone, young & old, gets involved.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We would definitely consider learning a song if we thought we could do a good job. This might entail a small charge for extra rehearsal time.
