What if my timings change after I've booked you?

When you book with us, we keep that date & time in our diary just for you. We understand that timings for any event can vary and always remain as flexible as possible within reason, while communicating with you prior to and throughout the event. Please note: Additional fees may apply for finishing after midnight (in line with Musician Union regulations).

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

All our bookings include a bespoke DJ playlist service throughout the event, tailored with all your song requests. Live DJ sets are also available at a special price.

How much time do you need to set up?

1pc = 1hr 2-3pc = 1-2hrs 4-5pc = 2hr 5-6pc = 2-3hr * Generally, the earlier we can get in - the better * Timings vary based on the amount of lighting required * Setup is normally quiet, besides the last 15-30min of sound check * When dining & entertainment happen in the same hall, some venues supply a divider screen for the band to setup behind during meal

Do you provide a caller?

We work with some of the best callers, who are guaranteed to get even the shyest of novices off their feet.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

You can select ALL your songs, tunes & dances. You can even select some songs which aren’t on our list. We love learning new songs, and ensuring your show is fully-tailored and unique to your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Indeed. Remember, bands can only sound as good as the amplification they’re playing through. That's why we use PAT tested high-end amplification, as well as party, stage & mood lighting with a dedicated engineer, to ensure everything looks & sounds just right all throughout your event. * Make sure to ask your venue whether or not they use a noise limiter.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. Learning new songs keeps us quick on our feet and keeps our repertoire fresh. This will normally be free of charge. * In case you have an exceptional request (i.e song arrangement for a large band or a large number of songs especially prepared) we may have to charge a bit extra.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients tend to rave about the band’s high level of showmanship & crowd engagement, as well as our warm & friendly approach, bespoke service and special attention to detail.

Wedding venues, hotels, members clubs, sports clubs, theatres, bars, restaurants, festivals, markets, fairs.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Real folklore belongs to the folk - We're mostly inspired by people, pure love of music and artistic conviction.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Hurlingham Club, Hospital Club, Bloomberg, KPMG, TEZENIS to name a few.

Lilac and Remko and the band were absolutely superb and helped make our wedding day so special. They are such lovely people and so adaptable. We are so grateful for your amazing performance and effort getting everyone at our wedding on the dance floor and involved in the ceilidh. It was exactly the blend of music genres and styles we were hoping for and so many of our guests praised you and the band for such a great atmosphere.

Can't thank Ceilidh With Us enough for a fantastic night. Right from the start their communication was excellent. They were flexible with the arrangements and came up with a set that was perfect for my event. The sound quality and setup was brillient. I have had a huge response from my guests saying what a great party it was and how much they liked the live music. Thanks again and keep up the good work! Cheers Jan

Lilac, Hilary and Remko recently played at a private party I organised for my wife's 50th Birthday and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. They were everything you would want a band to be - helpful and adaptable in terms of agreeing the set list, professional and communicative throughout, incredibly efficient on set-up and ultimately outstanding performers. Not just in terms of playing and singing, but also in terms of stagecraft and working the crowd. We had an amazing knees-up dancing to Irish reels, folk songs and modern Irish hits in rapid rotation. Not only that but the guys hung on for a couple of hours after the performance and chatted with all of the guests and were a tremendous addition to the bonhomie of the evening. Snap them up, they are a rare and delightful band.

Dear Ceilidh With Us, we wanted to thank YOU all for a wonderful evening on Saturday! It really was a great evening - as I'm sure you realised from so many smiling faces and so many people who enjoyed the opportunity to dance. The caller sized us up very quickly and put together a great programme of dances to appeal to the more and less experienced dancers - We so appreciated your musicianship and the blend of instruments. Remko - your sound and light system created a great atmosphere, I genuinely think people would have danced all night, given half the chance! Many people have already said what fun they had and how much they enjoyed the evening. These are sobering times so thank you so much for helping us create a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere where we could celebrate birthdays and friendship. Lilac, you were so helpful from our very first conversation and made sure everything ran so smoothly. I feel sure we'll find another opportunity to book you all again. With our best wishes and grateful thanks, Deborah and Sandy
