The Wild Thyme band are an experienced barn-dance and ceilidh band from Bath. We have over 15 years experience of providing the perfect entertainment for weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, charity events and more, in Somerset, Wiltshire and the South-West. Whether experienced or a first-timer, young or old, the beauty of a ceilidh (pronounced “kay-lee”) is that everyone can join in. It really is the perfect way to party with all your friends and family!

Can you perform covers?

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes; 3-piece or 4-piece band, depending on budget.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Please let us know if you’d like to adjust your timings and we will do our best to accommodate. Minor alterations are usually fine, but more significant changes might not be possible as the band will have made arrangements (travel / child care etc.) that we cannot necessarily change.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes; we can offer our PA for playing music through Bluetooth or wired connection. Please see our ‘add ons’ for pricing.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 hour before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for the ceilidh!

Do you provide a caller?

Yes we do! We have a fantastic caller as part of our Ceilidh band so just let us know whether you already have one, or don't need one, so we can adjust our line-up accordingly!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We’re always happy to discuss dances -and as long as we have enough notice (incase we have to learn something new), we will do our best to include any requests.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Yes; everything is included in the quote, including PA. All we need is a safe space to play and a mains power socket to plug into.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Please ask, as it may be possible, but we cannot guarantee we can provide it.
