The Jacobites are passionate about Scottish music. We play it, we write it, we teach it and we perform it. "So many guests said it was the best ceilidh they'd ever been to." Together we have 30 years combined experience in the Scottish music industry. We have played at weddings, concerts and events across Scotland, the UK and Europe. Our highlights are: • playing twice at the festival ‘Mestralia’ in Catalonia • playing a festival tour of North East France including Paris • composing and performing a WW1 remembrance tune for HRH Princess Anne • playing at the BBC Hogmanay Live with Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain • featuring on the BBC’s ‘Bargain Hunt’ • playing at hundreds of venues across the UK from grand concert halls to small town halls. From playing with the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra to playing at weddings across the country. From teaching and inspiring the next generation of Scottish musicians to founding The Edinburgh Street Ceilidh. From winning national traditional music competitions to playing for Irish dancers. From playing the critically acclaimed Wilfred Owen violin to leading local traditional music sessions. From writing our own sets of music to playing concerts in aid of and in recognition of humanitarian causes. As you can see, we love Scottish music. Our name the Jacobites is a nod to our tradition. We take that tradition and with our own unique style and sets bring it in to the present day.

The Jacobites were absolutely amazing at our wedding! They had the perfect mix of songs that kept everyone dancing, had great energy and were very professional. We had a lot of overseas guests who had never seen a ceilidh before and they managed to keep everyone on track and made sure we all had a great time. Would highly recommend them!!

Absolutely amazing ceilidh band! Many guests for our wedding were from abroad and therefore, had no experience with Scottish dancing before, but the instructions they gave were seamless and everyone was up and dancing the right steps in no time at all! Thanks so much for the great atmosphere you gave our wedding celebrations!
