Ceilidh Bands for hire in Nottingham
Latest reviews of our Ceilidh Bands in Nottingham

"If you are planning a ceilidh in the Midlands, particularly for a wedding, Schuggie is the first person you want to call. From our very first enquiry, he went above and beyond to ensure that we had the ceilidh and wedding reception we wanted. Schuggie regularly touched base in the months running up to the wedding, helping us plan our playlists and our first dance, whilst also providing us with really useful resources - his 'cheat sheet' probably prevented a dozen different disasters alone! With only a handful of Scots and few guests in attendance who had previously been to a ceilidh, I was a bit worried we would be faced with an empty dance floor for much of the night. However, Shuggie, aided by the fantastic Big Moose Ceilidh Band, had every person who was able on their feet and dancing for hours! Schuggie's calling style was fun and enaging, clearly explaining the steps to novices, whilst variations on popular dances kept even those of us who grew up in Scotland on our toes! This, along with his emceeing from our arrival until the very last song of the night, his gaelic blessing during our somewhat impromptu quaich ceremony, and efforts to resolve any issues which arrose with vendors ensured that our reception will be remembered for all the right reasons for many years to come! Once again, many thanks Schuggie. Slàinte Mhath!"

Debs hired KJ Folk & Friends Ceilidhs for a Private event (available in Nottingham)

"It was amazing! Everyone loved the band and I must say the caller was fantastic as many people were from abroad and they learnt easily the steps thanks to the caller guiding them. My husband was amazed because he saw many people dancing and enjoying as never before! They were kind in every communication and open to be flexible as changes happened during the celebration. They were great! Music was good, instructions clear, the caller was friendly and we had lot of fun! We completely recommend them for any event! "
