Question 1

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Accepted Answer

Too many to mention - lots of castles - Melville, Tullibole, Dalhousie, Dalmahoy, Sherbrooke...hotels; Balmoral, Sheraton, Principle... other places: Royal College of Physicians, Surgeons Hall, Linlithgow Burgh Halls, Comrie Croft. Accepted Answer

Shooglenifty, Skerrivore, ACDC, Eric Clapton, Motorhead,

Question 4

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Accepted Answer

STV 24hr ceilidh for Lorraine Kelly. She was so lovely, as were her crew - even after midnight when she would have been exhausted, she was still bubbly. We loved that gig! We also featured on STV's Five Live programme for a St Andrew's Day special.

Question 5

Can you perform covers?

Accepted Answer

We bring disco with us instead of singing covers (we only sing in the shower!) so that we can play all types of requests. We can play Auld Lang Syne on request if playing until the end and can occasionally play other instrumental requests, given adequate notice.

Question 6

Do you have different line-up options?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our standard line up is fiddle, electric guitar, bass guitar and electric drums, and we all call (give instructions for the dances). We also can perform as a three-piece (without the bass) and as a two-piece 'traditional' ceilidh band with fiddle + acoustic guitar. We add an Irish singer/rhythm guitar for occassions that request this.

Question 7

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Accepted Answer

We always try our best to be flexible to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible, If things change slightly in the run up to the event, just let us know.

Question 8

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Accepted Answer

Question 9

How much time do you need to set up?

Accepted Answer

We require one hour to load in, set up and sound check. In addition, we require up to one hour to dismantle afterwards, although it rarely takes that long. As soon as our equipment is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere before the party begins.

Question 10

Do you provide a caller?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we have multiple experienced callers and can give instructions for our dances using fun-filled banter. This ensures everyone will be able to join in the fun, regardless of experience, with no additional caller fee.

Question 11

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Accepted Answer

Our dance sets are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Accepted Answer

Our PAT-tested PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 4m squared space to perform.

Question 13

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Accepted Answer

We do not sing, however if you would like a special song for your first dance you can send us the details or a Spotify link and we will gladly play it through our system for you. Happy to do the same for any DJ set requests.
