We hired Bon Stovi to play at our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone after a top notch ceilidh band. We had a very friendly introductory call with them where they talked through how best to schedule the ceilidh and provide reassurance around managing a relatively large crowd many of whom would be unfamiliar with ceilidhs and would not have English as a first language. They were very considerate, friendly, and professional throughout the whole process. They set up quickly and unobtrusively, and quickly got people up and dancing. The calling was excellent throughout, and everyone had a blast. The musicianship is of a really high standard and they have a really great energy about them. An absolutely amazing bunch (with an equally amazing name), and we are very pleased to have had them perform at our big day.

Thank you so much for providing such an energetic performance for our wedding! The band were great at getting everyone to learn the dances, and when we got into it the music was so vibrant. So many guests told us that they thought the band were great. Really cannot speak highly enough of Bon:Stovi; thoroughly recommended!

Bon Stovi were an amazing ceilidh band! Katherine was so helpful and communicative in the run-up to the event, clarifying timings and offering gender-neutral calling, which definitely made our LGBT guests feel welcome, and went the extra mile to help us book a PA for our post-ceilidh disco. And the ceilidh itself was a huge hit with our wedding guests, multiple people remarked on the quality of the band and everyone had a fantastic time. You should definitely book Bon Stovi for your event!

You guys were fantastic and I think every single person that was there commented on how good the ceilidh and you were. You helped make an incredibly special night even more so by your wonderful music and dances. I haven't had so much fun at a ceilidh in ages.

Edinburgh Castle, Summerhall, Assembly Roxy, Archerfield, Teviot, Counting House, Botanic Gardens.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Liz Carroll, John Doyle, LAU, Shooglenifty, Peatbog Fairies

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Highest profile was probably a corporate event at Edinburgh Castle. Biggest crowd would be the Edinburgh University Medic Graduation Ball.

We are a ceilidh band, so we only provide instrumental music for ceilidh dancing with a caller.

Do you have different line-up options?

usually this is not a problem, but please let us know in advance or if they change last minute send us a message to discuss.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide an ipod or we can play a playlist through our PA from a laptop, ipod or smartphone.
