Latest reviews of our Wedding Violinists in Moray

"Fiona was absolutely incredible at our wedding and we couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She played beautifully throughout our ceremony, continued through the drinks reception, and even performed up until our first dance, it created such a special atmosphere from start to finish. She's one of the best decisions we've made for the wedding. What really stood out was how much she went above and beyond: we had a couple of song requests on short notice and Fiona learned them for us, with no fuss, and played them perfectly on the day. So many guests commented on how lovely the music was, and it genuinely made our wedding feel even more magical. If you’re looking for a talented, professional, and genuinely caring violinist, Fiona is the one! ❤️"

What kind of music can a violinist play?
Pretty much anything! Violinists will usually be most comfortable playing classical music, but that doesn't mean they won't be able whip up fresh renditions of your favourite pop, folk, or jazz tunes. Best to check first before asking them to play krautrock though.
Will I need to provide the violinist with any equipment?
Other than a seat for breaks, probably not. If your venue is small, they will likely play unamplified. All they'll need to make the music happen is their violin, a bow, and a receptive audience (oh, and probably a music stand). If your venue is larger, they should be able to provide amplification.
Do violinists normally play with backing tracks?
It depends. If you only want the violinist’s performance to include classical pieces, they probably won’t need backing tracks. If the violinist’s performance includes pop songs or other styles, they may be able to provide backing tracks to fill out their performance. They’ll often perform the melody line of popular tunes, alongside pre-prepared backing tracks (think: ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran, or ‘Skyfall’ by Adele - these songs sound great played on violin!).
