Katie hired Gaynor Sutcliffe for a Wedding (available in Angus)

"I am so glad we booked Gaynor for our wedding ceremony. In the run up to the day, Gaynor was easy to communicate with and was able to accommodate all of our requests. Gaynor ended up having to play for longer than usual, but this was no issue. Gaynor played beautifully and all of our guests loved her, so much that they gave her a round of applause after every song. Thank you so much!"

"Scarlett was incredible! Everything about our experience was perfect from the communication to her performance. She learnt a new song for our aisle song and it was beautiful. All our guests loved the music during the ceremony and drinks reception. It was lovely to have a performance that was so elegant yet personal, I would recommend her to everyone. "

What kind of music can a violinist play?
Pretty much anything! Violinists will usually be most comfortable playing classical music, but that doesn't mean they won't be able whip up fresh renditions of your favourite pop, folk, or jazz tunes. Best to check first before asking them to play krautrock though.
Will I need to provide the violinist with any equipment?
Other than a seat for breaks, probably not. If your venue is small, they will likely play unamplified. All they'll need to make the music happen is their violin, a bow, and a receptive audience (oh, and probably a music stand). If your venue is larger, they should be able to provide amplification.
Do violinists normally play with backing tracks?
It depends. If you only want the violinist’s performance to include classical pieces, they probably won’t need backing tracks. If the violinist’s performance includes pop songs or other styles, they may be able to provide backing tracks to fill out their performance. They’ll often perform the melody line of popular tunes, alongside pre-prepared backing tracks (think: ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran, or ‘Skyfall’ by Adele - these songs sound great played on violin!).
