Max hired Gwenllian Llyr for a Funeral / Memorial service (available in Southend-on-Sea)

"Gwenllian played at our wedding in June of this year at Hever Castle. She played before and during our ceremony. Gwenllian was so accommodating, she then moved onto the lawn and played beautifully during our drinks reception. I cannot thank Gwenllian enough, she was fantastic and a star attraction. Gwenllian played the songs we had requested for the ceremony, but apart from this she was taking requests I believe from our guests. I would wholeheartedly recommend Gwenllian, she was lovely and such a big part of our wedding day. Thank you so much. John and Tracey x "

What kind of music will a harpist perform?
Harpists usually play music from a large classical-style repertoire. However, many harpists will be able to play a selection of pop music as well. Make sure to let them know ahead of time what kind of music you'd like them to play and they'll be more than happy to accomodate you!
How much space will the harpist need to perform? Do I need to provide anything?
Harpists need an area of about 2m x 3m to perform in. You will also need to be provide adequate cover for them, to protect from the sun/rain - the surface should also be flat, firm, and dry. Grass is usually a no-no, so if they are to perform on grass, make sure a solid mat is handy. Wet harp = sad harpist.
I want a harpist to perform at my wedding: which parts of the wedding should they play?
Most commonly, harpists will perform during the following parts of the ceremony: seating of the guests, entrance of the bride, signing of the registry, and the walk-out. If you want the harpist to provide music for the reception, make sure you tell them well in advance if it's at a different venue - moving a harp at short notice ain't easy!
