Hailed as a harpist “who really nail[s] experimental pop music" (Paste Magazine), Natalie Lurie is a classical and pop harpist based in London. With a versatile background in different genres, she has command of the stage whether it be at Royal Festival Hall or with a rock band in London. A recent recipient of a fellowship with the Philharmonia Orchestra, her classical freelance career in London has included engagements with ensembles such as the London Contemporary Music Festival Orchestra, the King’s College Boys Choir, and the Guernsey Symphony Orchestra. She also currently plays with several London-based artists and has received international recognition for her pop arrangements on the harp. She has participated in international music festivals and masterclasses in France and was a featured performer at the 150th anniversary celebration of Lyon & Healy, the world's leading harp manufacturers. Natalie began her studies on the harp when she was seven years old and has studied with many of the world's leading harpists. She holds a BMus from Indiana University and an MA (Hons) from the Royal Academy of Music.

I recorded at FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama where Aretha Franklin recorded her first record.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually need about 30-45 minutes to set up.

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

Transport up to 10 miles is included in my quote. There is a small additional cost for travel of distances greater than 10 miles.

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

None at all - my instrument can be played both acoustically or amplified. In the case of rain, I will need full cover or to perform indoors as my instrument is valuable and could be damaged.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes! If a song isn't included in my song list, there is a chance I may know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn, I'm happy to arrange this for a small additional additional fee.
