Customer questions
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
If you need to change the timings of your booking before the day of the event then I always do my best to accommodate this.
How much time do you need to set up?
I arrive half an hour before I am due to start playing in order to set up. The harp is very simple to get ready - just remove the covers, tune and go!
Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?
The price quotes includes travel costs.
Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?
Playing outside is usually fine but is at my discretion on the day. If it’s sunny I need to be in suitable shade and under cover if raining or there is imminent risk of rain. I also need to be on a flat surface in order to be able to play.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
You are welcome to pick out music from my repertoire lists. I can also offer suggestions if you are stuck for ideas.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
I am happy to take requests in advance. Most music is fine to play on the harp providing that there is proper sheet music available. I include up to four requests as part of the quote, each song after that is an additional £10.
What do your clients love most about your performances?
I am trained to an extremely high level and this comes across in the music I play. One of the comments I get most from clients is how good I make the music sound.
Clients also appreciate how organised and efficient I am in helping their event run smoothly.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
I have performed at 100s of venues across the UK including all the major London hotels (Savoy, Claridges, The Ritz, Dorchester etc), the Royal Albert Hall, St James’ Palace, the QEII Cruise ship. Other venues include Clivedon, Hedsor House, Wotton House, Blenheim Palace, Leeds Castle, Knebworth, Waddesdon Manor and Leez Priory.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
As I’m classically trained I particularly love composers such as Ravel, Debussy, Rachmaninov and Bach. I also love jazz and folk music.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
There are quite a few to choose from: performing with Florence and the Machine at the BRITS, performing for the Queen at Lambeth Palace, working with Dermot o’Leary on Celebrity Big Brother....
