From the outset, her communication with us, and then the wedding couple, was fabulous. She offered an amazing playlist and the facility to learn four extra songs as part of her agreed price. She sent through details and then arranged a comprehensive phone call to go through the finest details. She liaised with the venue and was set up and very ready to go when our first guests arrived. What kind of music will a harpist perform?
Harpists usually play music from a large classical-style repertoire. However, many harpists will be able to play a selection of pop music as well. Make sure to let them know ahead of time what kind of music you'd like them to play and they'll be more than happy to accomodate you!
How much space will the harpist need to perform? Do I need to provide anything?
Harpists need an area of about 2m x 3m to perform in. You will also need to be provide adequate cover for them, to protect from the sun/rain - the surface should also be flat, firm, and dry. Grass is usually a no-no, so if they are to perform on grass, make sure a solid mat is handy. Wet harp = sad harpist.
