Lucia Foti performed on harp during a poetry reading in memory of victims of discrimination, torture and racial hatred. She played the harp so beautifully, and the chosen melodies were so relevant to the themes of the poetry, that the combination worked extremely well. Her playing gave us three separate moments (six melodies plus an ‘encore’) of calm and soft breathing, with the domed space of the venue providing the perfect acoustics. A break from the intensity and emotional charge of the poetry, yet connected to it. Harps are notoriously hard to play, and also hard to transport – Lucia did it all with immense grace and skill.

Lucia played the harp at our daughter Sophia’s baptism, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. She was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive to every detail. From the moment we spoke, she listened carefully to what we needed and delivered everything beautifully and effortlessly. Her music added such a special, elegant touch to the day—it was exactly what we had hoped for. Thank you, Lucia, for making Sophia’s celebration even more memorable.
