Bonnie Scott

Bonnie Scott is an innovative young harpist based in London and Cambridgeshire. She has performed across the UK and Europe, giving solo, orchestral, and chamber performances at a variety of venues and festivals including Snape Maltings Concert Hall, West Road Concert Hall, The World Harp Congress and the Wales International Harp Festival. She has won prizes for performance and composition including the East Anglian Harp Festival, Royal Leamington Spa Music Festival, Peterborough Music Festival and Cambridge Music Festival. Bonnie has performed for couples on their special days for over 10 years and is experienced in a wide range of repertoire from pop to classsical to ambient background music. Bonnie loves arranging songs, and can arrange any song of your choice for harp, to add a personal touch to your occasion. New works are a particular interest of Bonnie’s. She has performed countless premieres from large scale orchestral works to her recent project Floodplain – a collaboration with composers at the Royal Academy of Music to write new works for harp, recorder and narrator around the topic of humanity’s link to rivers and nature. As an orchestral musician, Bonnie has performed with conductors such as Jessica Cottis and John Wilson – most recently in the Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra’s performance of John Adams’ Harmonielehre. Bonnie is also passionate about exploring under-represented conventions of harp performance, playing the electric harp as well as the triple harp in addition to being an advocate for the performance of music by female composers. Bonnie is also able to perform on a range of historical harps including baroque triple harp, single action pedal harp and Celtic harp.
