"Rachael was fantastic. Her elegance, passion and practiced precision was balanced by a total awareness of what the ceremony needed - we had an outdoors ceremony which was not vocally amplified, so Rachael balanced her playing with diminuendo and silence during key times of there ceremony, which made her playing all the more effective. To book and arrange with her was a lovely experience - she helped guide us through the process, had all the required documentation requested by our venue to hand, and even learned a new song for us, which she arranged for harp beautifully. As it was my first time booking via Encore, I made the mistake of booking a provisional timeframe months in advance, and not confirming exact times in the days leading up to the wedding - but Rachael gracefully afforded us a last-minute alteration to the timeline, and this flexibility is something I'm keen to thank her for - and I'm all too glad that my guests heard her playing under the same oak tree that I got married at. I'd recommend her to all who seek the intimacy and grace of a harp at their event - her repertoire is outstanding, and she's a delight to work with."

Harpists play for about 45-50 minutes, then take a 15-minute break to rest, drink water, and play beautiful music again. A harp performance often lasts two sets, or around two hours in total.
Would a harp suit my event?
Harpists are perfect for occasions (or portions of occasions) where you want live music but don't want it to be the main attraction. Wedding harpists are particularly common but the harp is also suited for corporate events and funerals/memorial ceremonies, typically as background music during the sections where visitors are chatting, such as drinks receptions.
Do harpists take requests?
Yes! Harpists enjoy adding new compositions to their repertoire, and if they can't find an arrangement, they will often compose one for your event. This may result in an additional fee for your booking, but it is definitely worth the extra cost to have such a unique form of party entertainment.
