I was very impressed with Kimberly at Oldham Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Concert. She was efficient in communication/set up, had a great sound throughout, and was always in the right place without any concern. Exactly what we needed.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I’ve received lovely comments about my tone and how the sound of the harp creates a soothing and magical atmosphere for events.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Singapore Botanic Gardens Gardens by the Bay (Singapore) Esplanade Theatre (Singapore) Dora Stoutzker Hall (Cardiff) The Bridgewater Hall (Manchester) Hallé St Peter’s (Manchester) Whitworth Hall (Manchester) Whitworth Art Gallery (Manchester) The International Anthony Burgess Foundation (Manchester) St James & Emmanuel Church (Didsbury)

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I love the works of Debussy, and some of his works that were transcribed or arranged for the harp sounds absolutely magical. Ravel is a very close second though!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I’ve had the opportunity to provide background music for the Greater Manchester Vice Chancellor Dinner, and the chance to present a 45-min pre-concert programme for the BBC Philharmonic at the Bridgewater Hall Foyer.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Events that must be changed/postponed to a different date or time will retain the deposit as long as I am available for the new date and/or time. However, if I am unavailable for the change and your booking has to be cancelled, monies already paid will be forfeited and is strictly non-refundable.

How much time do you need to set up?

I will aim to arrive around 45 minutes before the playing start time. This is to allow time for parking, unloading, unpacking and tuning the instrument.

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

My travel (and thus transport of my harp) is not included in the prices listed on this website. However, it will be included into your bespoke quote in accordance with Musicians’ Union travel rates for the year.

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

In short, I’ll need a hard, flat surface to place the harp on. Grass, gravel or similar will require a thick rug or a piece of plywood underneath the harp. If necessary, structural protection from the elements like a patio umbrella, gazebo or porch should be provided.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I currently do not have a set list, but will take special requests for songs and/or genres.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, I am able to learn specific pieces before the event. However, there are differing deadlines to submit these requests depending on the nature of the event to ensure that it’s played.
