I am a highly accomplished and versatile Weddings & Events Musician with a wealth of experience. Originally from North Wales, I am currently based in Greater Manchester. My musical journey has taken me around the globe as a skilled harpist, performing for distinguished individuals such as the Prime Minister and members of the Royal Family. In addition to my expertise as a harpist, I am also a trained opera singer, having collaborated with some of the UK's foremost opera companies and prestigious concert halls. What sets my harp playing apart is the influence of my vocal training and experience, allowing me to uncover the unique vocal qualities within each piece and breathe life into the music. I am deeply passionate about the transformative power of music and its ability to elevate any event. Every wedding I undertake is a personalized and meticulously curated experience. Collaborating closely with my clients, I strive to craft the perfect ambiance and orchestrate those enchanting moments that make their special day truly magical. In the lead-up to the event, I am dedicated to working closely with clients, ensuring a seamless and tailored musical journey. Whether accommodating specific song requests or offering suggestions from my extensive repertoire list, my goal is to create a musical backdrop that resonates uniquely with each couple's love story. Whether you prefer a graceful entrance serenaded by the harp or the subtle elegance of live music during meals, the harp is a perfect addition to any event. Its non-intrusive yet distinctly present nature guarantees to enhance the overall experience for you and your guests. From classical and jazz to popular tunes, I take joy in performing a diverse repertoire at my events, tailoring each performance to the individual preferences of my clients. I've played the Black Eyed Peas for a devoted Will.i.am fan and the iconic opera aria "Nessun Dorma" for a Football World Cup enthusiast. Whatever your musical preference, consider it done. I pride myself on my versatility across genres and am committed to collaborating with you. Through audio clips and shared ideas, I'll ensure that the music resonates perfectly with your vision before the big day arrives.

John Ieuan Jones was exactly the harpist we were after before and during our wedding day. From our initial contact, John Ieuan made us feel very relaxed about our planned wedding day. We set out our vision for a relaxed and chilled wedding day and he was soon onboard and came up with great ideas that we never thought of beforehand. His professionalism and appearance on the day was faultless and the compliments received from our guests about John Ieuan and his playlist were all high praise. We would highly recommend John Ieuan Jones as a harpist for any occasions, especially a wedding like ours. Thanks a lot.

We booked Ieuan for our wedding ceremony and it's safe to say eh created a beautiful atmosphere for our special day. He was professional and attentive throughout and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. He played specific requests and also advised and suggested what would work well at different moments in the ceremony. His experience shines through and it was a pleasure to have him a part of our day. Several guests also commented on how amazing his contribution was. Thank you for making our day so special.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My versatility, passion and mission to make my clients event as special as possible. What sets my harp playing apart is the influence of my vocal training and experience, allowing me to uncover the unique vocal qualities within each piece and breathe life into the music.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've performed in venues big and small throughout the country and abroad.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

As a singer, some of my biggest influences are Sir Bryn Terfel and Frank Sinatra, and as a harpist it would be Catrin Finch.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

With my harp, I played for the Arms Forces Day a few years ago in the VVIP section, I wasn't told who the guests were until I arrived and they included Princess Anne and the Prime Minister. As a singer, I once performed as a soloist at the Royal Albert Hall in London, an experience I will never forget.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try my best to be as flexible as possible ensuring your event runs smoothly. Just let me know, and we'll adjust.

How much time do you need to set up?

I need about an hour to set up. It always depends on the venue however I find it's always better to have more time so there's no rush.

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

Travel costs can be discussed.

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

None at all - the harp is acoustic therefore no need for any electrics or extra equipment. If it is raining, then I will need full cover as the instrument i valuable and doesn't respond well to rain.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I am more than happy to take requests for the wedding ceremony, as this is an opportunity to make it unique for each client. I'm also happy to work with my clients if they require suggestions.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Of course. This will be discussed in our consultation.
