"David and his band played for our Hampshire wedding and they were phenomenal. We had both Scottish guests and people who had never ceilidhed before and he was an expert at helping everyone join in. He made us (the bride and groom) feel so special, tailoring some dances to our interests and making all our guests feel at ease. He also allowed us to use his speaker and disco lights after the ceilidh for our disco which was amazing. Throughout, David was incredibly responsive and communicative. How much space will I need for ceilidh dancing?
The more space, the better! Ceilidh dancing takes up a lot more room on the dance floor than your typical disco. Other than that: make sure table are removed (encourages dancing!), seats are available to the side, and there are no obstacles near the dance floor. Broken bones ain't craic.
Do traditional ceilidh bands take requests?
