"I cannot recommend The Word highly enough! 10/10 on every aspect. The theme for our gig was 'A Dance through the Decades' before an audience of 30-somethings through to 60-somethings. Nick, Rocco, and Andy seriously delivered on our theme, and these three (really nice) guys brilliantly played songs from some of the most iconic (four piece) bands of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s. One of the reasons I booked them was the incredibly wide range of their song list, and I was absolutely delighted with the band's flexibility in allowing me to choose the set lists that I knew would get the audience going (which they did in fine style). Communications through Nick were excellent through from initial booking to the event itself. These guys obviously love the music they are playing, and that came over to the audience, many of whom went up to the band after each set to thank them personally. The Word are seriously professional, and, looking at other similar bands on Encore, they also provide excellent value for money!! "

Can any party band play my favourite song?
Professional party bands will often take requests, but you will need to give them plenty of notice. Please also keep in mind that party bands may ask for an small additional fee to prepare songs that aren't already on their song list. You can view the party band's song list on their Encore profile.
How much time do party bands take to set up?
Your party band will usually arrive about an hour or so before their performance begins to set up and get settled before they start playing. To avoid any delays, make sure the performance space is ready for the party band prior to their arrival.
My venue has asked for the performer’s PLI & PAT inspection certificates. What are these?
PLI stands for Public Liability Insurance. This insurance covers damage to another person or their property (it is also known as third party insurance). As many of our party bands are members of the Musician's Union, they are already covered by PLI up to £10 million. PAT stands for portable appliance testing. Most of our party bands will already have a PAT inspection certificate for their musical equipment/PA system, which they can provide to your venue if they need it.
