LA Mixtrax formed in Jan 2022 and comprise a core band of Bas (bass), Joe (guitar & BVs) and John and Louie (drums) with strong line up of talented vocalists: Ray, Gabby, and Labhaoise. We have a wealth of live music experience to get an audience up and dancing! Major venues that band members have recently played include Wembley BoxPark to an audience of over 1,000, Army Veterans' charity dinner, the Hackney Half Marathon and a wedding at The Shard alongside numerous other weddings and parties.

We booked LA Mixtrax for our wedding in June. From beginning to end they were FANTASTIC! We spoke to Baz a fair bit in the run up to the day, firstly to talk about our set list expectations, likes and dislikes and then closer to the time about the logistics of the day. He advised us on what he thought would work from his experience and was really happy to help with our plans, including facilitating us to run a karaoke session in the bands break! The band themselves were fantastic and had all our guests dancing all night. 10/10 would recommend booking them for your event!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The energy and vibrancy of our performance together with the quality of our musicianship and how tightly we play as a band.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

A mixture of private parties and wedding receptions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Almost certainly. There may be occasions when we need to use our first choice dep singer, who is also an excellent experienced function band singer - but we will share details of her performing live too, so you will know exactly who you will be getting.

Do you have different line-up options?

We are currently performing as a full 4 piece band and Louise is also available for solo work (e.g. at wedding services)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer a "DJ Lite" service via our PA and making use of our stage lights after the final set until the venue closes. We provide this for an additional £125 / hr which is a fraction of the cost of a separate DJ.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a DJ Lite playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, that is correct, our PA and lighting system is included in your quote as is the provision of full backline and drums etc. for the band.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

This is something we would be very happy to consider doing and something we can discuss with you as part of the planning for your event.
