"Charlie was absolutely amazing at my daughter’s bridal shower and honestly couldn’t have asked for more. His voice, song choices and overall vibe were just perfect and so many people commented on how good he was. He sent over his repertoire beforehand so I was able to pick out songs we loved, but I also trusted him to read the room on the day - which he did perfectly. His versions of Man I Need and Lover were definitely highlights (the bride-to-be is a huge Swiftie!), and he created such a lovely atmosphere from start to finish. He was so friendly and easy to deal with, and on the day just fitted in so naturally with everyone. Professional singing guitarists will often take requests, but you will need to give them plenty of notice. Please also keep in mind that singing guitarists may ask for an small additional fee to prepare songs that aren't already on their song list. How much time do singing guitarists take to set up?
Your singing guitarist will usually arrive about an hour or so before their performance begins to set up and get settled before they start playing. To avoid any delays, make sure the performance space is ready for the singing guitarist prior to their arrival.
My venue has asked for the performer’s PLI & PAT inspection certificates. What are these?
PLI stands for Public Liability Insurance. This insurance covers damage to another person or their property (it is also known as third party insurance). As many of our singing guitarists are members of the Musician's Union, they are already covered by PLI up to £10 million. PAT stands for portable appliance testing. Most of our singing guitarists will already have a PAT inspection certificate for their musical equipment/PA system, which they can provide to your venue if they need it.
