Hi! I'm Ellen, and I'm an award-winning wedding & events musician specialising in Pop/Folk acoustic covers of current chart songs all the way through to 80s classics. Covering artists from Dua Lipa, George Ezra and Ed Sheeran through to Oasis, Whitney Houston and Cher, I perform for relaxed informal, chilled background, formal, or upbeat party events! I have over 10 years of experience providing live music for wedding ceremonies and receptions, in addition to parties, corporate and private events, having played for the likes of Virgin Media, O2 and RBS. I also provide live music for pubs and bars, restaurants, hotels (including the Penta Hotels and Crowne Plaza Hotels), festivals (including British Summer Time Hyde Park), and other prestigious venues (including Royal Festival Hall, Hackney Empire and Fairfield Halls). Ellen was amazing from the moment we started booking her! From quick replies to help with any queries we had, she always made us feel at ease. Through her knowledge and experience, Ellen helped us with things we didn't even realise we needed to think about. On the day of our wedding, she really set the day going from lovely music to welcome our guests, to the ceremony, and reception, she really had everyone entertained. All of our guests spoke so highly of her, they were blown away! Ellen even learned some songs for us, which meant a lot to our story together and really added to our overall experience on the day. Ellen was truly fantastic. She sang at my 50th birthday and the audience were blown away. Her voice is so sweet and pure - she was friendly and warm and had great presence. She was flexible about her playlist and added a last minute ask for me. She played at my garden party and the neighbours thought it was the radio!! Another friend said she would like Ellen to sign at her wedding. Couldn’t be happier Ellen - thank you so much for making a truly memorable day.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The range and variety of songs that I play (often a good mix of old and new!), my versatility to adapt and build my sets around their event whether that's a wedding ceremony, formal dinner, summer bbq through to a high energy party, and my professionalism and communication to make sure everything is perfect for them!

Royal Festival Hall, Hackney Empire, Fairfield Halls and many more!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I've been influenced by so many artists and performers, but my key influences when I was younger were Avril Lavigne, Coldplay (the first songs I learned on the piano!), and later on Taylor Swift, who was the reason I decided to pick up a guitar!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably British Summer Time Hyde Park! I've also played at events for the likes of Virgin Media / O2, Salesforce and RBS, which were all amazing experiences.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always do my best to be as flexible as I can, so if timings change slightly in the run up to the event, even on the day of, just let me know. My timings always have some flexibility to make sure your event runs as smoothly as possible!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, definitely. I always provide a playlist between sets unless specified otherwise, and can also provide this before or after the final set.

How much time do you need to set up?

I normally set up 60-90 minutes prior to performance start time, just to make sure everything runs smoothly. However, I can be flexible with this as set up takes approximately 30 minutes, and can set up earlier or later depending on the event!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Of course! You are welcome to pick any songs that you'd like included (or excluded!) from my sets, as music is very personal to you and your event. However, my sets are also crafted from my experience of hundreds of events, and therefore which songs often work best in certain environments to make sure you and your guests have the best experience possible!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I’ve got a full PA system with everything I need to perform that’s adaptable to both small and large venues. Everything is PAT tested, and I can provide any certificates if needed.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, I always include up to three song requests with every quote that is submitted over 28 days before the event. Song requests need to be shared 28 days prior to the event to make sure I've got enough time to learn them (and share any demos if these are for your wedding ceremony, breakfast entrance or first dance!).
