"5 Stars in all sections and Four real Stars who performed and contributed to our recent Wedding Day! We knew that, if possible, we would like a live band that would perform hits of the 80's. Using Encore we found the perfect group, 'That 80's Thing'. The booking procedure was straightforward, and the band were booked. A few emails were exchanged between Ian and myself in relation to the venue, set list and timings. My fiancée and myself also managed to see them perform at a public venue in Liverpool. On the day of the Wedding my wife and I were on Cloud 9 and 'That 80's Thing' performed to an exceptionally high standard. Everyone present at the evening reception admired their skills and professionalism. The performance certainly had people on the dance floor! The evening concluded with a 'Love Train Conga' around the room to 'I wanna be (500miles)' by the Proclaimers. I was particularly impressed as I had indicated I was a big OMD fan and they performed an excellent rendition of 'Enola Gay' ! Overall a top class performance from a top class band. My venue has asked for the performer’s PLI & PAT inspection certificates. What are these?
PLI stands for Public Liability Insurance. This insurance covers damage to another person or their property (it is also known as third party insurance). As many of our 80s tribute bands are members of the Musician's Union, they are already covered by PLI up to £10 million. PAT stands for portable appliance testing. Most of our 80s tribute bands will already have a PAT inspection certificate for their musical equipment/PA system, which they can provide to your venue if they need it.
