Our number one priority is quality. We operate a near silent stage (our real drum kit has skins on the toms which trigger samples) meaning we have a very fine level of control over our sound, our levels and our volume. Much more so than traditional set-ups. This also means that we can use authentic drums sounds for each our tracks, we sometimes even use the actual sample from the original song! This is our USP and what sets us apart from the others. VHS has a rapidly growing reputation for being one of the most authentic 80s cover bands in the UK. Originating in the North West each of the four core members has over 20 years of experience in a myriad of fields in the music industry ranging from music production, live sound, touring and session work as well as solo performance and songwriting. The dance floor is never empty thanks to our all-killer-no-filler sets featuring music by David Bowie, Prince, ABC, Bruce Springsteen, Eurythmics, Fleetwood Mac, Human League, Kate Bush, Paul Simon, Tears and Fears, Sting, The Buggles, Aztec Camera, George Benson, Men at Work, Soft Cell, Young Cannibals and Steve Windwood. Since forming in 2022, VHS have been praised for their energetic shows, high standard of musicianship and their polished sound. Reliability and professionalism lie at the core of what we do which is why we have become a top choice for events organisers and promoters.
