Forhad hired Jools Street for a Wedding (available in West Midlands)

"Adding a violinist to our wedding was a last minute decision. First off, I think I was lucky even to find someone who had availability on a Saturday, 2-weeks before the wedding! But what I now know I was truly lucky for, was that Jools was the violinist who was available. He was quick to respond and made us feel completely at ease. He learned a song for our aisle song with little short notice, and even though we decided last minute to change it to something else, he was completely understanding. He was punctual and such a nice guy, a pleasure to have at our ceremony and reception. The music was perfect and everyone commented on how great he was. Jools, we will never forget the beautiful arrangement of Can’t Help Falling in Love that you played for the most special moment of our lives so far. It will forever be etched into our memories. So, we thank you! If you’re thinking about booking Jools for your special or important occasion, DO IT! "
Tom hired Jools Street for a Wedding (available in West Midlands)

"We hired Jools for our wedding, he was just beyond amazing! He very kindly learnt two songs of our choice for our ceremony which were just unbelievably brilliant. He played before and after the ceremony too which everyone commented on and loved and really set the tone for the rest of the day. Thanks so much Jools for making our day so special. Can’t recommend enough. "

What kind of music can a violinist play?
Pretty much anything! Violinists will usually be most comfortable playing classical music, but that doesn't mean they won't be able whip up fresh renditions of your favourite pop, folk, or jazz tunes. Best to check first before asking them to play krautrock though.
Will I need to provide the violinist with any equipment?
Other than a seat for breaks, probably not. If your venue is small, they will likely play unamplified. All they'll need to make the music happen is their violin, a bow, and a receptive audience (oh, and probably a music stand). If your venue is larger, they should be able to provide amplification.
Do violinists normally play with backing tracks?
It depends. If you only want the violinist’s performance to include classical pieces, they probably won’t need backing tracks. If the violinist’s performance includes pop songs or other styles, they may be able to provide backing tracks to fill out their performance. They’ll often perform the melody line of popular tunes, alongside pre-prepared backing tracks (think: ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran, or ‘Skyfall’ by Adele - these songs sound great played on violin!).
