Amore Music - Pianist

Since graduating from the Birmingham Conservatoire with a Bachelor of Music (honours) degree I have enjoyed playing the piano and violin at weddings and all sorts of events including proposals, vow renewals, theatre shows, parties, celebration dinners, funerals, birthdays and anniversaries. I have performed at many venues including The Hyatt Hotel, Walcot Hall, Fairlawns Hotel and Spa, Sugnall Hall, Pimhill Barn, The Old Joint Stock Pub and Theatre, Moor Hall Hotel and Spa and I was a resident pianist on Saturday nights and Sunday lunchtimes at Bar Epernay Champagne and Piano Bar in Birmingham for 4 years. I especially loved playing requests including the theme from The Incredible Hulk, 'Memphis Stomp' from the Tom Cruise film The Firm and ABBA's 'Gimme, Gimme, Gimme'. On New Year's Eve I was the supporting pianist to the Elton John Tribute act. One memorable Church Wedding Ceremony was when I managed to play Pachelbel's Canon on the violin and piano at the same time (playing the violin over my own CD piano backing track). I recently played the violin in a pub for a party with an Irish theme. Guests enjoyed singing along to many songs including Fields of Athenry, Danny Boy, Whiskey in the Jar, Galway Girl, Maries's Wedding, Leaving of Liverpool, Buffalo Girls, and The Irish Rover. Another highlight was playing the song 'Kissing You' on the piano for a romantic surprise proposal in a garden centre. I was very touched to be asked to play 'Nearer My God to Thee' on the violin at a funeral service as it meant something special to the family.
