"I celebrated my 60th Birthday on March 1st, and I can honestly say that they were absolutely amazing, they made my Birthday Party, the singing and entertainment were off the scale, they interacted with the people at the party and they made it one of the best parties ever, the vocals were brilliant and the saxophonist was fantastic, they did 3 sets ( all brilliant) but the last set was banging and played classics which got everyone up dancing, at the end of the evening and since Saturday I have had so many messages from everyone saying that Motown Magic were just brilliant, if I had to give a score out of 10 it would of been a 12, from Booking Motown Magic until they performed the process could not of been easier and a special mention to Alessandro who kept us informed from start to finish and then seeing him on the night and making sure all was OK, I would recommend Motown Magic to everyone and if I have a party again I would have no hesitation having them again. Thankyou Motown Magic for making my 60th Birthday a day I will never forget Simon xxx"

"They were wonderful, thank you Gershom (and Melinda), Emma, , Nicki and David, we couldn't have hoped for a better band, a better connection , everything went fantastically well. Their manager Rhona was great too in coordinating it all. As for the service provided by Encore, on the other hand, I am sorry but Charlie was beyond hope and a great disappointment. His rudeness and childish preposterous attitude almost made me cancel the whole thing before it ever happened. I am glad I didn't though, for the sake of the band I chose and their manager, with whom we created the most outstanding 30th anniversary party. We were a team."

How much time do soul & motown bands take to set up?

My venue has asked for the performer’s PLI & PAT inspection certificates. What are these?
PLI stands for Public Liability Insurance. This insurance covers damage to another person or their property (it is also known as third party insurance). As many of our soul & motown bands are members of the Musician's Union, they are already covered by PLI up to £10 million. PAT stands for portable appliance testing. Most of our soul & motown bands will already have a PAT inspection certificate for their musical equipment/PA system, which they can provide to your venue if they need it.
