Soul Funk Secret is a British band founded in 2007 and features various vocalist and talented musicians working on both original and cover material. As session musicians and vocalists the band have worked individually on various live shows and recording sessions for: George Michael, Michael Ball, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Beyonce, Sony, Universal, BBC, ITV, X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent (backing session vocalists), Joe Mcelderry, Channel 4, Emirates Productions, Jamiroquai, Galliano, James Taylor Quartet, Noel McCoy, Tom Jones, The Divine Comedy, Bonnie Fields (James Brown), Martha High and Chiko Bangs (James Brown), Nona Hendrix, Tony Coleman (BB King), Walter Wolf Washington, Marcus Malone, Spice Girls, Michelle Gail, London Community Gospel Choir, Carleen Anderson, Push, Paul Weller and many more. As a collective their performances have seen them playing at major music venues across the UK, Austria, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, France, Israel, USA and the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival. Soul Funk Secret can be hired as a four to eight piece band. The band members are highly professional and come with lots of experience. As the band are full time musicians and can be very busy, we have two or more musicians for each position.

Absolutely blew us away. We hired Soul Funk Secret to perform at our marquee wedding and they exceeded our already high expectations. Arrived with plenty of time to spare, were friendly, professional and in-obtrusive with their setup at a busy venue and had the place rocking all night! Encourage anybody considering them to book now. You won’t be disappointed 🥂

Absolutely superb! Super talented, had everyone up dancing and involved and were super friendly, cheerful and energetic! All guests complimented the band and were on the dance floor all night!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

“We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.”

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Drums, bass. We also have a 7 piece option that includes Sax and Trumpet.”

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.”

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.”

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!”

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 5m by 5m space to perform

Can you learn song requests before the event?

“If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We are proud to have one of the best line up from the London Circuit. In Fact our musicians are well seasoned and all have many years of experience. Soul Funk Secret also produced some beautiful original tunes that can be found on the major digital distributors. We do take pride of our shows and never fail to entertain at a high level.
