The KMB is a band fronted by singer songwriter Kane Matthews Kane recently finished touring the UK & Ireland with the hit Broadway and West End musical ‘Dreamgirls’ playing the role of Tiny Joe Dixon amongst others. He was also 1st cover Curtis & Marty. He was previously seen in the UK tour of ‘Motown the Musical’. He played the role of ensemble/cover Smokey Robinson. He’s also been the lead singer for the Soul & Motown Band Soul Supreme and has played at various events throughout Europe. Other credits include playing at Wembley Arena and the Brighton Centre as part of the musical ‘Love Beyond the Musical’ as well as television credits that include Sunday Morning Live, Top of the Pops, Blue Peter and the BBC One prime time show ‘Making Your Mind Up’. The band comprises of some of the best musicians London has to offer. The band can be comprised from a 2 piece all the way up to a 10 piece. Guitars, brass, female singers, gospel choir. Whatever you need to make your event go off with a bang.

Kane and the band were immense. They had everyone on the dance floor and we had so many comments about how great they were. We felt incredibly lucky to have them at our wedding and they were one of the first suppliers we booked. The communication from Kane is excellent, always quick to respond and very accommodating. He is an incredibly charismatic and talented performer and a top man to chat to. He and the band are super tight, bringing some excellent music and groove to our evening. Their musicianship is exceptional. We’re already talking about what excuse we could use to throw another party just to have them play again. Book them, I guarantee you won’t regret it.

Kane and the band were absolutely fantastic - since our wedding, we have had so many guests telling us how much they enjoyed the music (which was important for us as we wanted it to just feel like a big party). Kane’s voice is fantastic, but he’s also a natural performer which made the music even better. They played such a great part in making our wedding a success (and successfully distracted guests from the torrential rain!). Would highly recommend to anyone.

We cannot recommend Kane highly enough - he was communicative and helpful in the run up to the wedding, and his performance on the day was excellent. We’ve had so many compliments on what a brilliant wedding band we had, and how it was so memorably fun. Kane is a very talented performer & vocalist and if you want something a cut above the average wedding band, he’s your man!

I cannot express this enough how amazing and electric your and the band’s performance was!!! We had so many compliments from our guests on your talent, flair and charm. Vicky and I really could not have asked for a better show for our wedding day - you really pulled the crowd together and got everyone (of all ages) dancing! We would sing your praises to anyone that would listen and would without a shadow of a doubt recommend you to anyone who is after a soul band for their wedding!

I booked Kane for my 60th birthday & I have to say he exceeded my expectations. Absolutely fantastic to deal with- and he really made my party. Great singer & great dancer. He makes an evening very memorable. I would highly recommend him, you will not be disappointed!!! 5 star artist!!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, unless the singer is taken ill or made unavailable by other circumstances. If that is the case the singer will be replaced by another of the same quality.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, Kane is available as a solo, duo, trio and upwards, You can also add, saxophone, trumpet, DJ service and other extras. Please let us know of any extra requirements.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

That's fine, we'll do our best to accommodate. Please note that earlier call times or late finishes may need to be renumerated.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we provide a playlist option for in-between sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

We will need a minimum of 90 minutes to set up and sound check. This can be done with guests in the room if there is no waiting space.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We ask that you pick 10 songs from our list and then we will collate a list that includes and compliments your selections.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

All quotes will include the cost of our PA system and lighting.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We will usually any first dance, as long as it's doable with the line up requested. We can learn one or two songs that are not listed within our song list.
