Comprising the finest musicians and industry professionals from all over the globe, our aim is to offer clients an unforgettable musical experience of the highest quality. Rich Soul Ensemble was set up by musicians with over twenty years professional industry experience. Through the years we’ve developed great relationships with some of the most talented musicians around the globe; we have West End stars, top session musicians from the top labels, who have played at some of the most prestigious venues throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. We also have a dedicated Artistic Director and Musical Director who both oversee choice of repertoire and their musical arrangements for all the genres we cover.

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to, although we have a number of rehearsed deps at the same standard if not at times better, who can step in if any of the musicians are already booked or pulled away due to unforeseen circumstances. The important thing to remember is that the professional musicians you have will be there to give you a musical experience of the highest quality.

Do you have different line-up options?

We have 6 to 10-piece line up options with brass section upon request. Fantastic selection of modern and traditional Soul and Motown masterpieces guaranteed to get you off your seats. Our standard line up is vocals x 2 (male and female), lead guitar, bass guitar, keys, drums and sax. And not forgetting the sound engineer.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We’ll always be happy to accommodate your changes to the best of our abilities, if timings do change in the run up to your event, please give us as much notice as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely, we have a dedicated sound engineer/ DJ for each event, able to provide music before and in between sets, as well music after sets. If you would like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100, which we can factor in to the price.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up 1.5 hours before each performance. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists have been perfected and crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to get guests dancing and have an amazing time. However we’re always happy to chat through repertoire and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Absolutely, each event has its own dedicated sound engineer/ DJ and top of the range PAT tested professional lighting and PA system. No need to hire any equipment yourself, it’s all included in the price.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

It would be a privilege for us to perform a special song or your ‘first dance’ song if your event is a wedding - just give us as much notice as possible so we can prepare to deliver the best performance for you.
